Climbing the mountain of Machu Picchu (Machu Picchu Montaña) is one of the highlights and the second most popular activity when visiting Machu Picchu. This ticket gives you access to enter Machu Picchu at 7am and head to the start of the trail to climb the mountain of Machu Picchu at 8am. The entrance to climb Machu Picchu Montaña is on the upper levels of the citadel of Machu Picchu. You can take the classic photo of Machu Picchu before or after your climb to the summit. . You must be at the Machu Picchu Montaña entrance checkpoint between the hours of 8am - 9am.
You are given maximum time of 4 hours to complete climbing Machu Picchu mountain. After you finish your climb to Machu Picchu mountain, you are allowed to exit the citadel of Machupicchu so you can re-enter again for an additional 1.5 hours to explore the citadel of Machu Picchu circuit 3 .
You don't need a guide to climb Machu Picchu mountain. But it is recommended you hire Machu Picchu a guide for the actual visit to the Machu Picchu citadel to make sure you do not miss any of the important attractions

Your ticket to Machu Picchu + Machu Picchu Montaña can be shown on a cell phone or mobile device. You must also provide your original passport. The name on your passport and your Machu Picchu ticket must match.
All of the Machu Picchu Mountain tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. All Montaña tickets are valid for 1 day only, for the date and times stated on the ticket. You can only re-enter one time with this ticket, so please plan ahead as there are no bathrooms inside Machu Picchu. And no food is allowed inside Machu Picchu in order to preserve this world wonder for future generations.
Cancellations or refunds of Machupicchu tickets are not allowed by Peru's Ministerio de Cultura. The Ministry of Culture does not allow date changes either no matter the circumstances.
